How to tell a fake Tag Heuer watch
Telling the difference between an authentic Tag Heuer watch and a replica can be difficult due to there being a wide range of watches available.
There for its difficult to state specific things to look out for.
There are different grades of replica watches.

* Grade 1B Japanese Replica watches
* Asian Replica watches
The Asian and Japanese replica watches are the type of watches you would expect to get out the back of someones
car at a service station, or from the inside pocket of a trench coat on a street corner.
These are the easy ones to tell, as is the same when telling if any product is genuine where you bought it is the easiest way to tell.
Is it an authorized dealer? Is it too cheap? Original Tag watches will cost upwards of £700
If your buying a Japanese/Asian replica, apart from the fact you got it from a street stall or something similar,
you will be able to tell by things such as, the weight of the watch, the quality of the small details and workmanship.
Inspect the watch closely. The quality of links, hands, detail, clasps will all be poor. The mechanism in poor fakes
are often 1 tick a second for the second hand. Genuine watches, and even the A grade swiss replicas will be a more smooth motion, it actually ticks about
8 times a second, and if you listen closely you can hear this.
When it comes to Swiss grade A replicas, it is much harder to tell, and most will need to be taked to a jeweller
for them to open the back and check the mechanism. These replicas will cost arounf £400 or upwards, and the quality
of these watches are much higher than the Asian fakes.
If you want an original Tag Heuer, buy it from an authentic Tag Dealer. Other than that, you get what you pay for,
For £40/$50 you will get a cheap imitation, times often drift out by 5 minutes a day.
For a few hundred pounds, you will get a quality Swiss replica where only a professional jeweller will be able to tell the difference.
